This diploma thesis focuses on the company INAT s.r.o., operating in the engineering industry. Focus of the work is to assess the currently used information system and propose appropriate changes to improve it. The work is divided into three main parts. The first part is an overview of the theory of the issue, the second part deals with detailed analyzes of society and the information system, and the last part consists of their own proposals for improving the information system along with economic evaluation.

Information Strategy

The existence of an information strategy in a company helps to manage the information system and thereby positively affect the achievement of global strategic goals of the company and its overall market success. This thesis focuses on the creation of an information strategy in a company based on the Czech market, in the sector of small and medium-sized companies. The first part presents theoretical basis of the topic. The second part is devoted to a detailed analysis of the current condition of the company and its potential, which makes it possible in the third part, to identify appropriate amendments, which will be implemented within the enterprise information strategy. The proposed changes will be consistent with the overall strategy of the company and lead to better support of the future development of the company in the market.

Improvement of quality management system

This diploma thesis deals with the optimization of the production process, namely the assembly of the machine tool. It contains a detailed description of the assembly process and its integration throughout the standard business case. The PERT method is used as the main optimization tool, complemented by a Gantt diagram. The aim is to design a process for more efficient production planning.

The master‘s thesis discusses the issue of the project Telco Servis whose focus are business activities aimed at drawing-in the Internet on cancelled fixed telephone lines. It introduces the formal aspect of project management and methods used in the pre-project phase. The work focuses on key parts of the project, such as analysis of the sales process, time analysis of specific parts of the sales process, company CRM description or project risk analysis. In the design part it deals with the estimated costs of the project and the fulfilment of the necessary conditions for its launch.

Based on these analysis, appropriate changes are proposed including its costs and benefits.

The diploma thesis deals with the discovery of flaws in the processes and information system with suggestions for improvement. The work is based on a localization company which operates worldwide and it is considered among the best in the field of localization. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first one is the theoretical framework which was used during analysis of the company and its information system and, consequently, is described in the second part of the work. The last and the most important part is a description of the current processes and a suggestion of changes in order to improve and increse the efficiency of these processes. Also, in this work, there is a time analysis with possible risks which may occur. At the end of the work, I deal with an economic assessment of the changes and their benefits for the society.

Topic of this Diploma thesis is assessment of information system in selected company Ryba Žilina s.r.o.. This phase of assessment comes out from extensive analysis and findings. After evaluation of analytical methods used, suggestions for improvement of current information system, will be created. This proposals should bring positive asset for company itself and improve some of the processes in company.

Optimization of Data Backup

This diploma thesis will deal with optimization of backup system of elementary school in Židlochovice, with possibility of using own technologies or cloud services. The thesis analyzes the current state of the backup system, proposes two variants of optimization and one of them is recommended for implementation. The implementation of the selected one will be described using the Lewin‘s model of change and network diagram. The risks that may arise during implementation or operation will be highlighted and propose methods to reduce them.
